Waterhouse Duo in Colin Stephen Quality 2012 Final Field

Top Sydney trainer Gai Waterhouse will saddle up a double pronged attack on the 2012 Colin Stephen Quality field at Rosehill this Saturday including her recent Wyong Gold Cup winner Julienas.

Strawberry Boy

The Metropolitan-bound Strawberry Boy runs in Saturday's 2012 Colin Stephen Quality at Rosehill

The Cape Cross five-year-old is one of just eight stayers accepted for this year’s $125,000 Group 3 Colin Stephen Quality (2400m), the race considered a good preparatory run for horses heading towards Saturday week’s $400,000 Group 1 The Metropolitan (2400m) at Royal Randwick.

Julienas is one of those paying $21 in the latest The Metropolitan 2012 odds at bookmaker.com.au which are led by Lamasery ($5) and Glencadam Gold ($5.50).

It is Waterhouse’s other Colin Stephen Quality runner Strawberry Boy however who is the best fancied of Saturday’s crew in The Metropolitan betting markets.

Paying $11 to win the upcoming Group 1, Redoute’s Choice four-year-old Strawberry Boy won their opening two starts for the season at Warwick Farm before their good third to Stout Hearted in the Group 3 Kingston Town Stakes (2000m) last start.

Other noteworthy Colin Stephen Quality 2012 hopefuls include the Joe Pride-trained former Queenslander Racing Heart (barrier three), David Payne’s Kingston Town Stakes fourth placed Praecido (barrier five) and the Hawkes-trained topweight Fiumicino in gate two with James McDonald to ride.

Whether it is a Rosehill showdown this Saturday, or next week’s The Metropolitan or Epsom Handicap you’re wanting to enjoy a punt on, we guarantee you’ll like the odds at bookmaker.com.au.

Not only does bookmaker.com.au offer the best range of fixed win horse racing odds, they also have a $400 bonus welcome bet waiting for new customers that use the promotional code BONUSBET!
