Nominations – Tea Rose Stakes 2012

The Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes is set to run at Royal Randwick Racecourse this Saturday September 22, 2012, and here you will find the latest nominations for the race.

A total of 10 horses have been nominated for the 2012 Tea Rose Stakes, including Dear Demi.

Dear Demi

Dear Demi is one of 10 Tea Rose Stakes 2012 nominations.

Dear Demi has won three of his 10 race starts and has earned more than $350,000 in prize money.

The Dehere filly placed third in the Group 3 Silver Shadow Stakes first-up this spring before winning the Group 2 Furious Stakes at Warwick Farm racecourse last start.

Dear Demi was nominated for the $1 million Golden Rose last Saturday, however, was saved for the 2012 Tea Rose Stakes this weekend.

She is nominated for the Group 1 Thousand Guineas and $1 million Caulfield Guineas next month and is expected to be one of the biggest players of the spring carnival.

Flying Snitzel is also included in the 2012 Tea Rose Stakes nominations after two unsuccessful spring starts.

The Snitzel filly finished sixth first-up in the Silver Shadow Stakes before placing fourth behind Dear Demi last start.

Flying Snitzel has won two of her eight race starts and has earned more than $160,000 in prize money during her short horse racing career.

Meidung and Jade Marauder are also included in the 2012 Tea Rose Stakes nominations.
