Betting for the 2018 Group 1 $700,000 Altus...
Tony Vasil’s unbeaten filly Elite Elle continues to get the love from the punters as she prepares to vie for her fifth consecutive career win in this weekend’s McNeil Stakes 2012 at Melbourne’s Caulfield Racecourse.
After opening at a quote of $3 to win the $150,000 Group 3 H.D.F. McNeil Stakes (1200m) on Saturday, the last-start Quezette Stakes winner has been heavily backed and now pays $2.40 to score back-to-back black types through bookmaker.com.au.
She has to overcome barrier 10 (of 12) however and she will be racing on much firmer ground than she has for her two most recent wins at Caulfield which were on a Slow (7) and Heavy (10) respectively.
McNeil Stakes odds on second favourite Kabayan meanwhile have eased out from $4.60 to $4.80, Gai Waterhouse’s Group 1 TJ Smith runner-up racing for the first time as a three-year-old.
While the Haradasun gelding is going to be better suited over more ground later in the campaign, they won first-up over 1000m on debut back in May and also ran a good second over 1200m at Rosehill as a juvenile making them the deserved second elect.
Aside from Elite Elle no other runner in the 12-horse McNeil Stakes field for 2012 has firmed in from their opening price at this stage, odds drifting on many of her other rivals however including big market drifter Underestimation ($17 out to $21).
Below are the latest McNeil Stakes betting market moves so you can see where the money is at, and who the punters are backing and sacking before placing your bets at bookmaker.com.au.
Australia’s leading online sportsbook, bookmaker.com.au have just upped their incredible sign-up offer and are now giving away a $400 bonus bet to new depositing players that quote the code BONUSBET.
And don’t forget you don’t have to use your $400 bonus bet all in one!
Split it up to four ways and enjoy a bet this weekend as well as a punt on the upcoming spring majors, or any other combination of races and markets you like.
