Toy Show Quality 2012 Odds Led by Steps In Time

John O’Shea’s classy mare Steps In Time has opened the pronounced favourite to win the 2012 Toy Show Quality at Warwick Farm Racecourse in Sydney this weekend.

Steps In Time

Steps In Time has opened the 2012 Toy Show Quality favourite for this Saturday

The Danehill Dancer five-year-old, a triple stakes winner, is one of 13 fillies and mares set to face off in the last at Warwick Farm this Saturday – the $100,000 Listed Toy Show Quality (1300m).

Last seen finishing a disappointing eighth to Ofcourseican in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) at Rosehill back in March, Steps In Time performs well first-up and as such is paying $3 as the favourite in the Toy Show Quality odds at bookmaker.com.au.

She does however have a wide barrier 12 draw to overcome and will also be carrying the 59kg topweight giving away a minimum 3.5 kilos to her rivals.

Just three of those rivals are also under $10 in the latest Toy Show Quality 2012 betting markets with:

  • #7 Power O’Raylee ($7.50) – Peter Moody-trained mare well performed over 1800m – 2000m, just below this class probably and might need a bit of luck over the shorter distance in a stakes feature
  • #2 Dystopia ($8) – Chris Waller’s Redoute’s Choice six-year-old was in great form during the summer in Sydney, including a big win at this track and distance defeating Tiger Tees in a handicap feature, but bombed out during the winter, resumes here and if they’ve recovered are a genuine chance
  • #5 Miss Stellabelle ($8.50) – Mark Kavanagh-trained four-year-old out to improve on their below par autumn preparation when unplaced in all three starts, had form during the spring last year however and will be out to recapture that

Following the top quartet in the markets are then the super consistent Choisir four-year-old Embark ($10), Ron Quinton’s Winter Stakes winner at the track Irish Dream ($11), and Kerry Parker’s Snitzel mare Aliyana Tilde ($15) who was last seen running third and second respectively behind Mosheen and Streama in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes and Group 1 Australian Oaks during April.
