Patinack’s highly-rated filly Nechita is all the rage ahead of the Group 3 2012 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Warwick Farm on Saturday.
The Fastnet Rock three-year-old stormed on to the scene in June when she recorded a comfortable 3 1/2 length victory on debut at Warwick Farm.
Since then Nechita has scored an impressive trial win and is currently being offered at $1.95 by bookmaker.com.au to win in her stakes debut this weekend.
The talented youngster is so highly rated by Patinack that they consider her to be among their best chances of Group 1 victory this spring.
Next best in the market at $5.00 is Allan Denham-trained filly Ichihara who has won three of four career starts.
The daugher of General Nediym won the first three starts of her career including the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes before finishing third in the Kindergarten Stakes.
Another filly who performed well in the autumn looking to kick of their campaign in the Silver Shadow Stakes is Single Style ($8.00) who won the Listed Keith Mackay Quality ahead of Driefontein in April.
Trainer Gary Portelli says he has Single Style ready to fire first-up and has engaged Queensland jockey Chris Munce to help chase victory this weekend.
No other runner falls under double figures with Gerald Ryan pair Flying Snitzel and Cavalry Rose as well as Darley entrant Meidung sharing the next line of betting at $11.00.
Ryan said earlier this week that Flying Snitzel has shown great improvement from her two-year-old career where she won the Group 3 Schweppervescence.
Other horses in the market include Jade Marauder ($15.00) and Dear Demi ($21.00).
