She’s A Fox Tops 2012 Silver Shadow Stakes Nominations

The in-form She’s A Fox heads a strong group of three-year-old fillies nominated to contest the Group 3 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Warwick Farm on Saturday.

She's A Fox

She's A Fox is the top nomination for the SIlver Shadow Stakes

Currently third favourite to win the $1 million Golden Rose on September 15, She’s A Fox returned from a spell in dominant fashion last month to win by four lengths first-up before taking out the Listed Rosebud by 3 1/2 lengths.

Joining She’s A Fox as one of the top nominations for the $125,000 event is Chris Waller-trained Jade Marauder.

A winner of two of five starts, the daughter of Fastnet Rock won the Group 3 Sweet Embrace Stakes as a two-year-old before failing to make an impact in the Golden Slipper.

Single Style impressed during her debut campaign in the autumn where she won two of three starts including the Keith Mackay Quality ahead of Driefontein.

Rosehill trainer Gerald Ryan has three horses nominated with Flying Snitzel, Villa Splendido and Cavalry Rose.

Flying Snitzel and Cavalry Rose both tasted black-type racing as two-year-olds while Villa Splendido has won once and placed on the other occasion from two starts.

Despite having had just one career start, Nechita stands as one of the most hyped horses included in nominations.

The daughter of Fastnet Rock debuted with a 3 1/2 length victory at Warwick Farm in June and is rated as one of Patinack’s top chances to taste top tier success this spring.

Other horses nominated include Gai Waterhouse-trained Kuchinskaya, Magic Night Stakes winner Ichihara and Darley entrant Meidung.
