Star filly of the autumn Samaready is the clear favourite to win the Listed 2012 Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield tomorrow.
Despite the track expected to be wet and the Golden Slipper third placegetter never having run on anything worse than dead, bookmaker.com.au are offering the talented youngster at $2.30.
The daughter of More Than Ready has not been seen since the Golden Slipper but prior to that produced four convincing wins including the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes.
According to the market, Samaready has just one genuine challenger tomorrow, with the unbeaten Elite Elle being offered at $4.60.
Unlike the race favourite, Elite Elle has wet-track form behind her with her last two starts coming on heavy and slow surfaces.
Trained by Tony Vasil, the daughter of Shamardal will be out to extend her unbeaten record to four in what will be her first test at stakes level.
The only other horses to fall under double figures for tomorrow’s fillies’ sprint Bloomingdale Miss ($8.00) and Ephemera ($8.50).
Both horses are in form, with Bloomingdale Miss looking to back up her last-start win at Caulfield on July 28.
Part of leading Victorian trainer Peter Moody’s stable, the daughter of Ephemera has drawn nicely in barrier two and will benefit from having Moody’s stable jockey Luke Nolen in the saddle.
Other horses included in the Quezette Stakes market are multiple stakes placegetter Agueda ($13.00) and Blue Diamond Stakes third Armed For Action ($21.00).
