Quezette Stakes 2012 – Preview and Tips

A number of talented fillies will be on display tomorrow for the Listed 2012 Quezette Stakes (1100m) which is highlighted by the return of Samaready.

Samaready

Samaready should be too hard to beat in the Quezette Stakes

The Blue Diamond Stakes winner makes a highly anticipated return to the track and was last seen finishing third to Pierro in April’s Golden Slipper.

How the daughter of More Than Ready handles an expected heavy track at Caulfield will have a large impact on tomorrow’s result.

Despite having never run on a surface worse than dead, Samaready is currently being offered as bookmaker.com.au $2.30 favourite ahead of unbeaten Elite Elle ($4.60), and recent winners Bloomingdale Miss and Ephemera ($13.00).

Also in the market with stakes level experienced are Agueda and Anthony Cummings-trained filly Armed For Action ($21.00).

If you are unsure who to back or don’t have time to read form for this exciting fillies’ race keep reading as the Races.com.au team have been working hard to deliver their expert tips.

The Winner

#1 Samaready 2.30

Despite having never run in the wet, it’s hard to look past the quality of the favourite here.

A superb record of four wins from five starts including a three-length win in the Blue Diamond Stakes and she is deserving of her status as one of the favourites for the Golden Rose.

Drawn well with the inside barrier, the daughter of More Than Ready will have regular jockey Craig Newitt on board.

The Placings

#11 Ephemera $8.50 and #9 Bloomingdale Miss $8.00

Trained by Peter Moody, Ephemera will be having her first run at Caulfield and comes into the race in sensational form.

The More Than Ready filly be chasing a third consecutive victory and showed she has wet-track ability two starts back when winning on a slow surface at Seymour.

Bloomingdale Miss is also in form, having won last start at Caulfield, and in her two career outings she has performed well in the wet.

Drawn well in barrier four the Robert Smerdon-trained youngster will be accompanied by experienced jockey Michael Rodd.

Agree that Samaready will return to racing a winner? Or have another horse in mind? Whoever you are backing, get great odds by betting with bookmaker.com.au, home of the $300 bonus bet!
