2012 All Victorian Sprint Final Betting Update

Peter Moody’s recent acquisition, the resuming galloper Ready To Rip, continues to firm in the All Victorian Sprint Series Final 2012 betting markets ahead of Saturday’s feature at Flemington Racecourse.

Originally opening at a quote of $5.50 through bookmaker.com.au to win the $100,000 All Victorian Sprint Series Final (1200m), running as Flemington Race 7 at 3:38pm, the More Than Ready four-year-old has been smashed by the punters firming right into $4.

Ready To Rip was last seen running a close second to Steel Zip in the Listed Sunshine Coast Cup (1400m) back on February 5, and it is their excellent first-up record of three wins from for attempts that has them topping the All Victorian Sprint Series Final odds.

They also have come up trumps in the barrier draw with gate four and will be ridden by Black Caviar’s regular rider Luke Nolen for their debut run for Moody, Ready To Rip formerly prepared by Andrew Williamson on the Sunshine Coast.

Ready To Rip remains the only market mover with the odds on the rest of the field either remaining steady or easing out.

Horses that have drifted out in the markets include defending champ Perturbo ($14 out to $19) who has the 60kg topweight to overcome, recent Victorian Sprint Heat winner Beyond Pardon ($8 out to $8.50) coming off a second to See The Word in the Listed Takeover Target Stakes (1200m) at Gosford, and the Darren Weir-trained Broken ($10 out to $11) who also won a heat at the track back on June 23.

See below for the complete 2012 All Victorian Sprint Series Final betting market moves, and stay tuned for our insider tips on the feature to be published shortly.
