Soft Sand

Soft Sand is favourite to win the 2012 Tattersall's Tiara at Eagle Farm today.

The three-year-old will be having her first start in Brisbane and will be looking to win her first Group 1 title.

Second favourite for the 2012 Tattersall’s Tiara is presently Shopaholic, who is paying odds of $5.50 at bookmaker.com.au.

Shopaholic finished seventh in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap last start after a fifth placing in the Listed The Straight Six first-up this campaign.

The three-year-old filly proved her talents when beating Mosheen in the Group 3 The Vanity before upsetting Soft Sand in the Group 2 Angus Armanasco Stakes during the autumn.

The Pins filly has won five of her 13 race starts and has earned more than $280,000 in prize money.

Stradbroke Handicap winner Mid Summer Music is third favourite to win the 2012 Tattersall’s Tiara and is paying odds of $7.

The six-year-old mare shocked onlookers as she sped through the Stradbroke field to win the $1 million race by almost two lengths.
