Carlton House So You Think’s Main Danger – 2012 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes

British four-year-old Carlton House stands as the biggest threat to former Australian star So You Think in the 2012 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot.

So You Think

So You Think is a short-priced favourite to win the Prince Of Wales's Stakes

Owned by the Queen herself, the lightly-raced horse has won three times from six starts and is coming off a dominant win in the Group 3 Gerard Stakes.

The son of Street Cry is currently paying $4.00 to topple So You Think who is a short-priced favourite at $1.85.

So You Think left legendary Australian trainer Bart Cummings’ stables at the end of 2010 and gets a chance to avenge a shock defeat in last year’s Prince Of Wales’s Stakes.

Now trained in Ireland by Aiden O’Brien, the star five-year-old was a surprise runner-up to British horse Rewilding after starting as favourite.

The son of High Chaparral boasts an outstanding record of 13 wins from 22 starts including nine Group 1 victories.

A two-time Cox Plate winner, the champion’s last start on Australian soil came in the 2010 Melbourne Cup when he finished third to Americain after starting as favourite.

Owned by Ireland’s Coolmore Stud, So You Think will return to Australia following his Royal Ascot campaign and will begin standing in the spring.

The next best chance in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes market is Godolphin four-year-old Farhh ($9.50) who will be chasing a fourth straight victory after dominating his three career starts to date.

Just behind him is Dubai World Cup third place-getter Planteur ($10.00) who is fresh off a third-place effort in a Group 1 event in France.

All the Ascot began overnight (AEST) at Royal Ascot with British superstar Frankel winning the Queen Anne Stakes by 11 lengths and Australian sprinter Ortenisa struggling to finish mid-field in the King’s Stand Stakes.

Australian champion Black Caviar will start as odds-on favourite in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes at 12:45am (AEST) Sunday.
