Sea Siren is favourite to take out Saturday week's $1 million Stradbroke Handicap

Heading the market is talented filly Sea Siren who is currently being offered at $5.50 by bookmaker.com.au to take out the third leg of the Brisbane sprint treble after previously winning the BTC Cup and Doomben 10,000.

The talented three-year-old received a 1.5kg weight penalty following her history making Doomben 10,000 win and will now carry 54kg into the feature sprint.

Doomben 10,000 runner-up Buffering is at $7.00 on the second line of betting after recovering successfully from the stone bruise that saw him ruled out of the BTC Cup.

The Queensland star took Sea Siren all the way to the line on Saturday but is still chasing an elusive Group 1 victory after placing on a number of occasions.

Exciting three-year-old Mental ($7.50) follows Buffering closely in the betting but currently sits in 23rd spot on the order of entry.

The Lonhro gelding will move up the order and be guaranteed a Stradbroke berth if he can achieve victory in this Saturday’s Group 2 Queensland Guineas at Eagle Farm.

Talented Joseph Pride-trained sprinter Tiger Tees was impressive when leading from start to finish in the Group 3 BRC Sprint and currently sits at $9.00 in the Stradbroke market ahead of classy mare Wealth Princess ($10.00).

Wealth Princess bounced back to her best earlier this month when winning the Glenlogan Park Stakes after nearly two months out of racing due to injury.

A number of horses fall between $10.00 and $20.00 including 2011 Queensland Guineas winner Torio’s Quest ($13.00), BTC Cup fourth place-getter Varenna Miss ($15.00), Tim Martin-trained three-year-old Pampelonne ($17.00), in-form gelding Solzenhitsyn ($17.00) and Peter Snowden-trained Pinwheel.

Galaxy winner Temple Of Boom finished third in the Doomben 10,000 and provides value for the punters at $21.00.
