The 2012 Chief De Beers Handicap (1100m) will round out the Doomben 10,000 day card tomorrow and it is set be an exciting sprint with plenty of speed in race.
Race favourite Excellantes ($3.30) was highly impressive last start when winning the Doomben 10,000 by three lengths and has drawn a plum barrier five position as he attempts to post a second consecutive win.
Following the favourite in the betting and the only other two chances to come in under double figures are last-start Doomben Dash first and second Seek And Find and Nuptse.
All three love to get out quickly so it is set to be an exciting race to round out the bumper eight-event card that is highlighted by the Group 1 Doomben 10,000.

#5 Excellantes $3.30
It’s tough to look past the Robert Heathcote-trained favourite here who was simply excellent last start.
Back up to Listed level where he is yet to experience success but has drawn exceptionally in barrier five and has in-form jockey James McDonald on board.
He’s won six times from 18 starts and placed on another seven occasions so you can expect him to be near the front of the field and after his last performance he should prove too strong at the end.
The ultra-consistent Rocker struggled suffered a rare hiccup when seventh last start on the Gold Coast but that is the only time this Fastnet Rock four-year-old has finished outside the placings.
A five-time winner, the Kelly Schweida-trained horse knows how to finish in front and may just have enough quality to provide an upset here.
Look for Seek And Find to get away quickly from the inside barrier as he attempts to record a second-consecutive victory.
This Kelso Wood-trained gelding has won four times and finished runner-up twice from his last six starts and looks set to once again finish near the front of the field tomorrow.
#1 Border Rebel $17.00
The experienced gelding has been in horrible form of late but if he can get somewhere near his best he becomes a big chance tomorrow.
He finished at the back of the field in his last two starts but has won 14 times from 28 starts including twice at Listed level.
