A crowd of 30,000 will flock to Adelaide’s Morphetville Racecourse today to see the world’s best sprinter Black Caviar attempt to score a 21st consecutive victory when she lines up in the Group 1 $500,000 2012 Goodwood.
The good news for race fans is the weather has been kind and the track is currently rated as dead (4) ahead of what will be a bumper day of racing in the South Australian capital.
Apart from the Black Caviar feature race, there is also the Port Adelaide Cup (2500m), the SA Fillies Classic and the RA Lee Stakes.
The good weather means there has been limited scratchings on what will be a special day as champion mare Black Caviar competes in her last race on home soil before heading overseas for the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot.
