Dashitude Tops The Jansz 2012 Nominations

Morphettville Racecourse is set to host a triple shot of Group racing action this Saturday one of the top races on the card being the 2012 The Jansz where up-and-coming filly Dashitude will look to continue her winning ways.

While Black Caviar will steal the spotlight vying for her incredible 21st straight career success in the $500,000 Group 1 The Goodwood (1200m), the $115,000 Group 3 The Jansz National Stakes (1200m) is shaping up as another good betting race for the punters at bookmaker.com.au.

Just nine two-year-olds were nominated for The Jansz this year including the Chris Bieg-trained stakes winner Dashitude.

The Dash For Cash filly, purchased for just $5,500 at the 2011 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sales, has won four of her five career starts to date including her last two on the trot.

After a good win at Caulfield on March 24 she returned home and took out the Listed Dequetteville Stakes (1100m) on April 28 which boosted her career earnings to $205,200 – a figure incredibly totaling over 37 times her purchase price.

Also coming via a run in the Dequetteville Stakes are the Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas-trained runner-up Dinkum Diamond who won her debut back in December, and John Hyam’s third placed Starcraft filly Stella Lante who also won on debut back on April 14.

Hyam has also nominated for King Of Roses gelding King Valentine and his unraced De Beers filly Miss De Pature.

Rounding out The Jansz 2012 nominations are then the Mark Kavanagh-trained Beau Jez, Chris Hyland’s She’s A Monet, the Anthony Freedman-trained Melbourne raider Papillon coming off a debut win at Sandown, and Star Of Zena who also comes off a win on debut but at Morphettville.

While the 2012 The Goodwood field is already released the remainder of the Morphettville acceptances for Saturday are due out on Wednesday.
