Doncaster Mile Day 2012 Scratchings – Randwick 21/4

A bumper day of racing is set to take place at Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse today, with the nine-race card highlighted by the prestigious 2012 Doncaster Mile.

More Joyous

More Joyous will start in today's Doncaster Mile

Rain has bucketed down in Sydney for much of the week which has seen the track rated as heavy (8) this morning and caused a total of 22 scratchings across the day.

The good news is there have been no more scratchings in the Doncaster after Rekindled Interest, King’s Rose and Single were withdrawn earlier this week.

It means glamour mare More Joyous will start despite talk from the connections she may be scratched if the track was heavy which gives her an opportunity to rectify last year’s result when she finished a disappointing 11th.

The day’s other highlights include the 2012 Australian Oaks which will see Streama start as odds-on favourite and the Galaxy which will test a high class group of sprinters over 1100 metres.

All the action kicks off with the Fernhill Handicap at 11:45am so be sure to get to bookmaker.com.au quickly to place your bets!

Home of the $300 bonus bet, the Australian owned boomaker is offering sensational prices on all today’s Randwick action.
