Set to run as Rosehill Race 4 at 2:10pm (NSW time), the $175,000 Group 2 Challenge Stakes (1100m) drew just seven runners this year, but don’t be fooled by the field size.

This boom galloper has eased out slightly from $1.75 to $1.85 and this suits us as really Rain Affair does look hard to beat in this field.

They are four from five and the distance, unbeaten in three at the track and boast a 92% Win/Place rate.

Ignore the Newmarket, that was their first Group 1 and they were only beaten two and a half after getting caught from the inside alley in a big 22-horse field.

Face just six on Saturday, Rosehill is the preferred track and they will be back to their best.

Hard to go past the top three in this one, just swap the second to in order of the odds.

Bel Sprinter has the record and the ability but Elite Falls really was good in the Oakleigh.

Money coming for Bel Sprinter whose shortened from $3.40 to $3.20, but they haven’t seen Rosehill.

Elite Falls has and she is set for a good season to atone for the spring.

Roughie To Try

David Payne says they are back to peak fitness so fingers crossed they bring some competition. Oakleigh Plate 11th was better than it looks, won’t win but if they’ve come on from their Expressway Stakes fourth can place at good odds.
