Pago Pago Stakes 2012 – Nominations Update

Tim Martin trained gelding Lightning Drew is the only addition to the Group 2 $175,000 2012 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) nominations list after they were yesterday extended until 11:00am today.

With a best finish of fifth from two starts, Lightning Drew is unlikely to make too much of an impact in the final male-only Golden Slipper lead up event, which will see the winner scoring ballot exemption from the prized race for two-year-old horses.

All Too Hard

All Too Hard is the horse to beat in the 2012 Pago Pago Stakes

Headlining the list of nominations is half brother of wonder mare Black Caviar All Too Hard who has been more than impressive in his two unbeaten starts.

Despite sitting as second favourite ($6.50) in the early Golden Slipper market, the promising Hawkes family trained colt is no certainty to run with such a short turnaorund following Saturday’s targeted Pago Pago Stakes.

Tim Martin has another horse nominated with the promising Le Cap who impressed when winning on debut in Gosford earlier this month.

Two horses trained by well-known Sydney trainer Peter Snowden have been included in nominations with Limes and Narcissus.

Limes is coming off a fourth-place finish in the Group 3 Skyline Stakes while Narcissus is coming off a second-place effort in the Schweppes Plate at Warwick Farm.

Outside of All Too Hard, Kevin Moses trained horse Collect is the highest up the betting market and is currently sitting at $26.00.

The Fastnet Rock colt finished fourth in the Silver Slipper Stakes and is fresh off a third-place finish in the Skyline Stakes on March 17.

Head to to check out the full Golden Slipper betting market that currently has star filly Samaready as $2.50 favourite.

They are the favourite for online horse racing betting due to their sensational odds and$300 bonus bet offer for new customers.
