Betting for the 2018 Group 1 $700,000 Altus...
Unbeaten filly Samaready will look to further her claims for a Golden Slipper win on Saturday when the last-start Blue Diamond Stakes champ races in the 2012 Reisling Stakes at Rosehill, but is the odds-on favourite the one the Races.com.au crew are tipping?
The $300,000 Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m) is due to run as Rosehill Race 3 at 1:30pm and offers a Golden Slipper ballot exemption to the winner, as does the day’s opener the Todman Stakes for colts and geldings.
Just eight two-year-old fillies remain in the Reisling Stakes field following the early scratching of #5 Catkins, Samaready topping the bookmaker.com.au markets at a short $1.55.
While backing up to win a race following a Blue Diamond victory historically has proven tough, More Than Ready filly Samaready really does look hard to beat on Saturday and is the Races.com.au tip to win.
Rosehill Race 3 Betting – 2012 Reisling Stakes Tips
Races.com.au Tip To Win:
- #1 Samaready ($1.55 [boomaker])
Takes a special filly to win the Blue Diamond, and that’s just what Samaready is. She put three lengths on a top field then, and while she has quite a break between runs she won the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude off a 56-day break by three and a half.
Snitzerland will challenge but if Samaready is going as good as they say she is, and she handles they Sydney way of going then the bookies will be paying out the favourite backers in the third.
Best Place Bets:
- #2 Snitzerland ($3.60) and #3 Hussousa ($5) – Bet now at bookmaker.com.au
We think the bookies really have this market spot-on for Saturday and are following the Reisling Stakes odds for our predictions.
Snitzerland is smart and unbeaten this prep, including a massive three length Group 3 win at Flemington last start, she’ll come close but mighty just be off the top filly here.
Hussousa is also deserving of her top three price having run an eye-catching second behind fellow Golden Slipper hope Pierro in the Silver Slipper Stakes on a Heavy Rosehill track three weeks back. She hasn’t gone to 1200m yet, which is the only reason we don’t have her to run top two.
Roughie To Try:
- #6 The Broken Shore ($34 bookmaker.com.au)
Has the right trainer in Ms Gai Waterhouse but not the right gate (7) or form (still a maiden). Still, their last-start third behind Dear Demi back on February 25 over 1200m at Rosehill wasn’t bad and as we haven’t seen them since, how much upside they have makes them the unknown in the field.
If you too want to get on the Samaready bandwagon, whether it’s in the Reisling Slipper Trial or the $3 million Group 1 Golden Slipper at Rosehill on April 7, the country’s premier online bookie bookmaker.com.au have the odds you’re after.
