Snitzerland remains the odds-on favourite to take out the 2012 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes at Flemington this Saturday in the Group Three 1200 metre race.
The Golden Slipper fancy will be very tough to beat in the two-year-old fillies race and is the Races.com.au pick to take top honours.
Trained by Gerald Ryan, Snitzerland is currently paying $1.95 at bookmaker.com.au and is coming off a victory in the Inglis Premier at Mornington on February 15.
Only two other horses look to be a chance in the first race of Flemington’s Super Saturday and they are Armed for Action ($3.40) and market mover Mrs Gray ($5.00).
Armed for Action is coming off an impressive third-place effort in the Group One Blue Diamond Stakes two weeks ago and has two wins from three career starts.
She will have Craig Williams in the saddle when running from barrier eight on Saturday.
The David Hayes trained Mrs Gray is yet to score a win from four starts but has placed three times and finished fifth in January’s Magic Millions at the Gold Coast.
Coins ($11.00) is the only other horse that comes slightly close to the top three in the betting market with the next best after her Real Stolle at $19.00 (bookmaker.com.au).
Some value can be found with Nicskioffski ($41.00) who is coming off two straight victories but faces a step up in class at Flemington on Saturday.
Other horses set to run in the 2012 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes include Extreme Impact ($31.00), She’s Missing ($61.00) and Moral Persuasion ($81.00).
The Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes is the first race at Flemington this Saturday and is set to commence at 12.08pm (AEDT).
