2012 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes – Snitzerland Heads Nominations

A smorgasbord of quality racing is scheduled for Flemington this Saturday and one key race on the menu is the 2012 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes.

The 1200 metre Group 3 event is for two-year-old fillies and has attracted some quality horses this year.

One quality filly included in the nominations is Golden Slipper hopeful Snitzerland.

The Gerald Ryan trained horse has recorded a second and first from her two starts, including victory in the Inglis Premier at Mornington on February 15.

Another nominated horse that is likely to be among the front runners on Saturday is Armed for Action.

The Anthony Freedman trained filly signalled plenty of potential when she finished third in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes on February 25 and has two wins from three trips to the track.

Also included in nominations is Alezan Thunder, who finished third in the high profile Magic Millions event at the Gold Coast.

In four outings, the Mark Kavanagh trained horse has an impressive resume which includes two victories and two places.

One horse nominated that should not be ruled out of contention is Chris Beig trained Dashitude who has a 100-percent win record from two starts.

Her last race was the Sportingbet Plate in Morphetville on February 25.

Other horses nominated to run in Saturday’s 2012 TBV Throughbred Breeders Stakes include Real Stolle, Coins, Mrs Gray and Imprimis.
