Red Tracer Posts Millie Fox Stakes 2012 Win – Rosehill Results

The Group 3 Millie Fox Stakes has been taken out by wet tracker Red Tracer at Rosehill Gardens racecourse today March 3, 2012.

Red Tracer won the race by a comfortable margin ahead of Crafty Irna and Older Than Time.

The four-year-old mare was second-up in today’s Millie Fox Stakes after finishing third when resuming in the Group 2 Breeders Classic at Warwick Farm last month.

Red Tracer has now won seven of her 15 race starts and has earned more than $525,000 in prize money.

The mare was paying odds of $1.50 to win the 2012 Millie Fox Stakes at bookmaker.com.au.

Trainer Chris Waller was thrilled to be able to get another winner for Red Tracer’s owners, Geoff and Mary Grimish.

“We’re starting to kind of get a family environment going,” Waller said.

“It’s great to be able to get winners for people like that.”

Despite the fact that she was odds-on favourite, Waller felt the win was just as impressive.

“There’s no such thing as an easy win,” he said.

“They’re all hard to win regardless of prices.

“You’ve got to do it and she did it very well.

“(It’s) onwards and upwards.”

Red Tracer was ridden by jockey Hugh Bowman in today’s 2012 Millie Fox Stakes.
