Fireball Quality 2012 – Final Field and Odds

Nobby Snip will start as an overwhelming favourite heading in to the 1100 metre Listed 2012 Fireball Quality which will take place at Rosehill this Saturday.

The three-year-old gelding is listed at $2.70 on Luxbet with Sacred Pins ($5.00) the next best chance according to the bookmakers.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse, Nobby Snip has three wins from five outings including victory in his last start in the Pony Express Holdings at Canterbury on February 17.

Sacred Pins is coming off a spell but the Chris Waller trained gelding has a one-hundred-percent record having won his first two outings in Sydney late last year.

Altar and Pampelonne will start as equal third favourites with Luxbet offering $6.00 for either to take top billings in the $100,000 race.

Trained by Peter Snowden, Altar has one victory from her four starts and will run from barrier two on Saturday.

Pampelonne will come from gate number three and the Tim Martin trained gelding must be considered having won at Warwick Farm over the same distance last year.

Salade ($8.00) ran eigth in last year’s Golden Slipper and the Gwenda Markwell trained colt has recorded one win from three visits to the track.

It will be the the toughest test yet for Didntcostalot ($9.50) but the three-year-old colt has a history of winning. He has won three out of four outings but they have all come against lesser quality fields.

Other horses included in the Fireball Quality 2012 are Velrosso ($13.00) and Ain’t She Grand ($15.00).
