Murwillumbah trainer Matthew Dunn is looking...
Red Tracer leads the early betting heading in to Saturday’s Group 3 2012 Millie Fox Stakes at Rosehill.
The Chris Waller trained mare is the clear favourite on Luxbet, opening at $2.60 ahead of the $125,000 event.
In her last start, the four-year-old finished third in the NSW Thoroughbred Breeders Classic and has won six of 14 starts.
Steps in Time is the next favoured by the bookmakers, with Luxbet offering odds of $4.40 for the four-year-old to take out the 1300 metre race.
Trained by John O’Shea, the mare has four wins from just seven starts, with all four coming over similar distances to the Millie Fox.
She has also won her last two starts, having taken out the NSW Thoroughbred Breeders Classic ahead of Beaded and Red Tracer at Warwick Farm on February 18.
Form and prices suggest that Red Tracer and Steps in Time will be the horses to beat but there is plenty more quality in the race including Ladys Angel ($6.00) and More Strawberries ($8.00).
Ladys Angel has five wins from 14 starts and will be ridden by Corey Brown from barrier four.
The Gai Waterhouse trained More Strawberries has three wins from fifteen starts but has run just two barrier trials since a spell following last October’s Trojan Hand Tools Stakes.
Other included horses in the 2012 Millie Fox Stakes include Jersey Lily ($11.00) and Montana Flyer ($15.00). Galizani is at the back of the pack paying a massive $101.
