PFD Food Services Stakes 2012 – Final Field and Barrier Draw

The final field and barrier draw has been released for the 2012 PFD Food Services Stakes which will take place at Flemington this Saturday March 3, 2012.

Run over 1400 metres and also known as the Frances Tressady Stakes, the final field includes Golden Penny who is in red hot form.

Trained by Richard Jolly, the mare has won its last three starts and all have come over similar distances.

The five-year-old has five wins from 13 starts but will face some stiff competition in the $125,000 Group 3 race this Saturday.

On of those that is likely to be among the front runners is the Russell Cameron trained mare I’m Discreet.

From 26 starts, the five-year-old has seven wins and is coming off a second-place-effort in the Mannerism Stakes last weekend.

Darren Weir trained Marveen is another with decent results on the board having won six of 24 starts on her way to collecting over $570,000 in prize money.

The six-year-old mare finished third in its last start on February 15 in Bayside Jeep Hareeba Stakes in Morningside following a lengthy spell.

Fashion has drawn the inside barrier for the PFD Food Services Stakes and is coming off a fifth placing in last weekend’s Mannerism Stakes.
