Black Caviar’s Half-Brother All Too Hard Wins 2012 Talindert Stakes

All Too Hard has won the 2012 Listed Talindert Stakes on debut at Flemington Racecourse today.

The half-brother to superstar mare Black Caviar, who will contest the Group 1 Lightning Stakes later today, won his first career start by one and a half lengths.

The Casino Prince colt, who is out of Helsinge, is trained by John, Wayne and Michael Hawkesracing team.

All Too Hard

All Too Hard wins the 2012 Talindert Stakes At Flemington Racecourse today.

Wayne Hawkes was confident All Too Hard would live up to the expectation surrounding his breeding coming into today’s 2012 Talindert Stakes.

“There’s always a fair bit of pressure on the horse, everyone’s looking at him,” Hawkes said.

“It was to be expected (but) you just try and put a lid on these kind of horses.”

All Too Hard gave his trainer a taste of what to expect in today’s 2012 Talindert Stakes when trialling at Flemington earlier this week.

“He trialled down the straight on Tuesday morning,” Hawkes said.

“Horses that trial well down the straight run good.

“It was a nice little race for him and onwards and upwards from here.”

The trainer was adamant that All Too Hard would not be backing up next week in the $1 million Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield.

“He’s not the kind of horse that will be backing up,” he said.

Jockey Dwayne Dunn had high opinion of the two-year-old following the $100,000 race.

“He’s nice and raw. He’s a lovely horse,” Dunn said.

“We think he’s going to be a solid three-year-old.

“Obviously he’s got the pedigree and he’s got the attitude.

“Which way they go with him now will be up to team Hawkes to decide.”
