Peter Snowden’s Doomben 10,000 winner Beaded returns to racing this Saturday in the 2012 Breeders Classic, the multiple elite level performer appearing for the first time since the Brisbane Winter Carnival last year.

Beaded heads a smart 2012 Breeders Classic field at Warwick Farm this Saturday
Running as one of three Group races on a bumper Warwick Farm race card this Saturday, the $175,000 Group 2 N.S.W. Thoroughbred Breeders Classic (1200m) has attracted a top-class field of 13 mares.
Topping the weights on 58kg and due to jump from barrier five with Corey Brown aboard is Lonhro six-year-old Beaded who boasts one of the most consistent Place rates of any horse having finished top three in 21 of her 22 career starts to date.
After finally breaking her Group 1 maiden status in the Doomben 10,000 (1350m) last May, Beaded went on to finish a short-head second to Sincero in the Stradbroke and then Yosei in the Tattersall’s Tiara over 1400m at Eagle Farm in June.
Following Beaded in the Breeders Classic field and weights is then the Gai Waterhouse-trained Montana Flyer out to hand her trainer back-to-back wins in the event following the success of their superstar stablemate More Joyous last year.
Montana Flyer also resumes racing on Saturday having most recently run fourth in the Tatt’s Tiara on June 25, but has work to do in her first-up run after drawing awkwardly in barrier 11 of 13.
Other headline mares racing first-up in the 2012 Breeders Classic include the Chris Waller-trained Epsom Handicap third placegetter Red Tracer also out wide in gate 12, Les Bridge’s Coolmore Classic runner-up Jersey Lily, the John Thompson-trained Galizani and Joe Pride’s Arena five-year-old Ladys Angel drawn ideally in barrier three.
Meanwhile, top Sydney horseman John O’Shea will saddle up two last-start winners in the race with Steps In Time to jump from seven with Jim Cassidy aboard following a sharp first-up win at Canterbury over 1250m on January 28, and Rosehill winner over 1200m on January 21 Alberton Park one wider in eight with Jeff Penza engaged.
