Hoss Amor Wins 2011 Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic – Results

Hoss Amor has won the 2011 Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic on debut at Wyong Racecourse today December 22, 2011.

The two-year-old filly is on her way to the $2 million Gold Coast Magic Millions 2YO Classic in Queensland on Saturday January 14, 2012.

Hoss Amor has appeared on the racetrack just once before, when finishing fourth in a Rosehill barrier trial on December 6.

The John O’Shea-trained General Nediym filly won today’s Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic by a neck ahead of second place-getter Hidden Warrior, while Dear Demi rounded out the placings in third.

Jockey Brenton Avdulla rode Hoss Amor to victory in the $200,000 race.

“She did a good job,” Avdulla said.

“Johnny (O’Shea) had her tuned up to the mark today.

“She hit the line strong.

“She was up against horses that have raced and been competitive.”

It was the first time Avdulla had ridden the talented youngster.

“That’s the only time I’ve had anything to do with her and john’s been confident all week she’d run well,” he said.

The jockey is confident Hoss Amor will be a big chance in January’s Gold Coast Magic Millions 2YO Classic after today’s promising performance.

“I think she’s going to be a very nice ride in the Magic Millions,” Avdulla said.

The future looks promising for Hoss Amor, since last year’s Wyong Magic Millions winner, Karuta Queen, went on to win the Gold Coast equivalent in January this year.

Hoss Amore won the 2011 Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic in a time of 1 minute and 4.02 seconds.
