Moonee Valley Nights Tips – Friday December 2, 2011

The Moonee Valley night racing action tonight is set to be top class with eight exciting races on the twilight card, two of which are worth $100,000 in prize money, and to help punters clean up too below we have our insider Moonee Valley Nights Tips for Friday December 2, 2011.

Racing kicks off at the Valley tonight with the $50,000 Cameron Boyd 21st Handicap (1200m) at 6:45pm (local time).

Highlights on the Moonee Valley race card this evening not to miss include the Race 6 – the $100,000 Moreton Hire Premium Handicap (1600m) at 9:15pm (local time) – featuring a crack field of milers including Peter Moody’s Group 3 winner Turnitup, last-start Eclipse Stakes fourth placegetter Lord Pyrus and the Danny O’Brien-trained Eraset.

The other headline Moonee Valley race tonight is the $100,000  NYE at Moonee Valley Premium Handicap (1600m) jumping at 9:45pm (local time) as Race 7, nine three-year-olds left in contention led by Moody’s 2012 Derby-bound son of Savabeel Brambles who comes off back-to-back wins at Seymour and then Sandown.

There is also a race named in honour of Melbourne’s darling mare Black Caviar, Race 2 the $50,000 Black Caviar Sweet 16 Plate (2040m) at 7:15pm (local time), paying credit to the incredible 16 consecutive turf triumphs of the Peter Moody-trained superstar; Black Caviar to Resume Racing in the 2012 Australia Stakes.

Punters’ last chance to back a Moonee Valley winner will then be in Race 8 at 10:15pm (local time).
