Bringing the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival to a close for another year is Sandown Classic Day this Saturday, one of the key support races on the program being the Eclipse Stakes 2011 and below Races.com.au have done the form on this handicap feature to uncover the winning Eclipse Stakes betting tips.
Eleven keen stayers are engaged for the $125,000 Group 3 Betfair Eclipse Stakes (1800m), which is scheduled to run as Sandown Race 8 at 4:50pm (AEDT) on Saturday afternoon, with #6 Erewhon installed at the top of the Luxbet markets.
After opening at $4 in the Eclipse Stakes odds, Peter Snowden’s Commands four-year-old Erewhon has eased out slightly now at a quote of $4.20.

The Eclipse Stakes is a relatively open race this year, however, with three other runners at single figures with Bel Esprit five-year-old Belgietto ($5.50), the David Hayes-trained Extra Zero ($7) and Platinum Passion ($8) out to give trainer Mike Moroney back-to-back wins following the success of Viking Hero in the feature 12 months ago.
