Lucas Cranach Cleared To Win 2011 Caulfield Cup

Presented by Anthony Freedman German import Lucas Cranach is taking Australia by storm as he heads towards the 2011 Caulfield Cup tomorrow afternoon at Caulfield Racecourse in Melbourne.

Youtube video of him flashing home of the final furlong back at home has gone viral in horse racing circles and led to a massive betting plunge on the five year old.

He’s been one of the best backed runner in early markets for the 2011 Melbourne Cup but tomorrow’s Caulfield Cup will be his first start on Australian soil.

A scare was sent through the Freedman camp earlier in the week when Lucas Cranach was reported to have foot abscess.

It was later discovered to be a crack in the heel but vets from racing Victoria inspected the horse this morning and he has been passed fit to race.

The drama has sent his odds back out though and right now at Luxbet he’s at $12 fixed.
