Helmet wins the Caulfield Guineas 2011 from Manawanui

Helmet has produced a thrilling lead all the way victory in the $1 million Caulfield Guineasat Caulfield Racecourse to break the race record with a time of 1 minute and 35.36 seconds.

The three-year-old held off the last ditch effort of impressive galloper Manawanui to win the 2011 Caulfield Guineas by a head.

Huegill finished third, while Smart Missile was nowhere to be seen during the race and failed to run on down the final straight.
