Black Caviar

Black Caviar on her way to winning her 14th consecutive race in the Schillaci Stakes

Black Caviar has made her spring racing debut with a dazzling win in 2011 Schillaci Stakes at Caulfield Racecourse today.

The queen of Australian racing won the race by an amazing four and a half lengths ahead of Karuta Queen, who held on well for second, and Stirling Grove, who ran home for third.

Black Caviar has now matched Phar Lap’s long standing record of 14 straight career wins, however, the five-year-old mare has done it whilst being unbeaten.

The super mare will now run in the Group 2 Schweppes Stakes on Cox Plate Day at Moonee Valley on October 22, 2011.
