Last-start The Shorts winner Love Conquers All will be out for back-to-back Group 2 wins for the season having been nominated for the Premiere Stakes 2011, one of the supporting features on a bumper all black-type programme at Royal Randwick for Epsom Handicap Day this Saturday.
2011 Cox Plate hopeful Love Conquers All will race at Royal Randwick this Saturday
The weight-for-age $200,000 Premiere Stakes (1200m) was won by the late, great Hot Danish when it ran at Rosehill last year and has proved an excellent guide for Luxbet punters looking to upcoming Sydney and Melbourne Spring Carnival features.
Mossman five-year-old Love Conquers All resumed racing for the season, bouncing back after a disappointing 15th place finish behind Sincero in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) at Eagle Farm in June, by holding on in a tight finish to win the Group 2 The Shorts (1200m) at Rosehill on September 17.

The always-honest galloper enjoyed a strong autumn – winter season at the start of the year racing seven times and recording five second place finishes including their elite level placings in the Doomben 10,000, Doncaster Mile and George Ryder Stakes.
On Saturday the Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes-trained stallion will look to further improve their stud value with an eighth career victory and improve their claims for the 2011 Cox Plate.
Love Conquers All currently sits as a $61 roughie at Luxbet for the $3 million Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley on October 22, a price that may firm if they show good form on Friday night.
Meanwhile Chris Waller’s Group 1 winning veteran Danleigh is the top-rated entry out of the 14 gallopers nominated for the 2011 Premiere Stakes.
This year Waller has nominated both Danleigh and Albert The Fat for the Premiere Stakes showdown, the duo sure to be well-backed in the betting.
Eight-year-old Danleigh, a four-time elite level winner, resumed with a credible sixth place finish behind Love Conquers All in The Shorts, beaten just under two lengths.
New stablemate Albert The Fat, formerly prepared by Paul Messara, also comes off a run in The Shorts when the seven-year-old made their debut for Waller finishing within a half-length of winner Love Conquers All.
Also among the 2011 Premiere Stakes nominations are the likes of Clarry Conners’ promising four-year-old Decision Time who won the Group 3 Concorde Stakes first-up over 1100m at Warwick Farm before their fifth in The Shorts, the Matthew Smith-trained Group 2 winning mare Hurtle Myrtle making her new season debut and the David Payne-trained The Shorts third placegetter Winter King seeking their first win since August last year.
With four Group 1 races on the Royal Randwick race programme this Saturday, there is a race for every Luxbet punter and fan.
