2011 Stradbroke Handicap Order of Entry

Weekend winners Varenna Miss and Hurtle Myrtle have escaped penalty in the Stradbroke Handicap for their wins on Saturday.

Varenna Miss, who gained an exemption by winning the QTC Cup, was eligible for a penalty after the win, however handicappers have decided to leave her at 51kgs.

Trainer Tony Noonan is unsure whether he will start Varenna Miss in the Stradbroke, or wait until the Winter Stakes a fortnight later at Eagle Farm.

Hurtle Myrtle received only a ballot allowance of 0.5 kgs, but will still race in the Stradbroke at 51kgs. The ballot allowance means she is ahead of any other horses in the field that may also have 51kgs.

Sincero remains on the fringe at 21st on the order of entry, however he is sure to move up at least one place, with Peter Snowden confirming that Skilled will be headed towards the Queensland Guineas.

Beaded reamins favourite for the Stradbroke at $5.00, while Love Conquers All, Black Piranha and Woorim are on the second line of betting at $7.00.
