2011 Vinery Stud Stakes Tips – Golden Slipper Day Race 4 Betting

The second of five Group 1 showdowns taking place at Rosehill’s Golden Slipper Day this Saturday will be the $400,000 Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) and the Races.com.au team are tipping a victory for the punters with favourite Brazilian Pulse rated special to win.

Brazilian Pulse

Brazilian Pulse is the Races.com.au pick to win the Vinery Stud Stakes on Saturday

Last year’s Group 1 Crown Oaks winning filly Brazilian Pulse is the firming favourite of the 11-filly field lining up in the 2011 Vinery Stud Stakes at 1:45pm (AEDST) on Saturday.

“They (the punters) have only wanted to back one horse,” Luxbet’s Bookmaker Paul Vincent stated exclusively to Races.com.au.

“We put (Brazilian Pulse) up to $2.90 and were claimed immediately with a bet of 10k @ $2.90 followed by a further 15k @ the $2.70 which has seen her price now into $2.50,” Vincent said.

Sitting at a current price of around $2.50 in the market, Michael Moroney’s consistent daughter of Captain Rio is a proven performer at Rosehill as she comes off a win in the Group 3 Keith F Nolan Classic (1800m) here last Saturday.

Brazilian Pulse is also well-suited over 2000m having won the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes at this distance at Flemington on Derby Day last year.

Dropping back 2kg in the weights from her last start and drawn well in barrier six Brazilian Pulse will take some beating.

“For mine (Brazilian Pulse) does appear as the bet of the day on a very tough day to be finding winners,” Vincent stated.

Rosehill Race 4 Tips – 2011 Vinery Stud Stakes Betting

  • To Win: #1 Brazilian Pulse

Rated Special to Win at Races.com.au. She’s beaten many of these before and will do so again.

  • 2nd Place: #3 Do Ra Mi

Peter Moody-trained Savabeel filly beat Brazilian Pulse in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes (1400m) on March 12 in a brilliant effort. Has the form with three wins from past four starts but step up in class and distance rule her out for the win in our eyes. Yet to race beyond 1400m and also makes Sydney debut here.

  • Trifecta Tip: #2 Pinker Pinker

Greg Eurell’s promising Cranbourne galloper, comes off back-to-back Group wins in Victoria but this is her first time racing the Sydney way. Drawn wide in 10 so will have to go back early but has pace to run on and finish in the money.

  • Exotics Only: #6 Fibrillation

Tim Martin’s locally-trained filly ran second beaten a half-length by Brazilian Pulse in the Keith F Nolan last start. Good roughie to add into exotics.
