Karrakatta Plate Race Tips – Ascot Racecourse 19/03/2011

2011 Karrakatta Plate Day will be far from overshadowed by Coolmore Classic Day with a great series of events culminating in the Race #7 Group 2 Karrakatta Plate over 1200m.

With half a million dollars up for grabs it’s the second richest race to be run in Australia tomorrow and has attracted a full field of 16 with four emergencies on standby.

Obviously making your Karrakatta Plate Tips can be tricky with so many contenders but we’ve taken all the hard work out for you by providing our expert tips which we think have the most chance of claiming the prize.

It’s a big ask to win this race in just your second ever start but that’s exactly what we’re expecting of Rebel Call.

The barrier is very tricky out in 15 but after a blistering debut performance in the Perth Stakes we feel this colt has what it takes to go all the way.

He’s trained by Joe Byrne and will be ridden by Paul Harvey and sits at a current Luxbet fixed price of $5.50.

Second in the race and at outstanding value is the David Harrison trained Western Fever.

After a shocking start to her career this filly has improved rapidly winning two of her last three races.

Her last start second was in the Gimcrack Stakes behind Flying Affair by less than a length.

She drops three kilograms from that run but is another with a tricky barrier, drawing number 10.

Having said this her odds are very good, an $8.00 fixed price not bad for one of the most in form fillies in the field.

Flying Affair will battle it out with Benny’s Halo for third spot with the barriers the only way we could split them in the end.

Neither have prime draws but Benny’s Halo did pick up eight which is inside Flying Affair in 13.

The gelding was just beaten by Rebel Call last start in the Perth Stakes but won both races previous to that.

He also meets his rival at 56kg, making up the 2kg differential from last start.

We’ve picked him for third but I’d be boxing your trifectas because this horse is a massive chance to take the race at $4.80 odds.

If you are going to have a bet make sure you give yourself the biggest returns in Australia and use Luxbet.

They guarantee better than TAB odds and for a limited time they’ll also guarantee a free bet up to $400 for new members.
