Early Golden Slipper 2011 & Reisling Stakes Betting Tips

Satin Shoes

Golden Slipper second favourite Satin Shoes will run in the 2011 Reisling Stakes

Tomorrow a number of 2011 Golden Slipper prospects will face off in the final fillies lead-up to the $3.5 million showdown on April 2, with Satin Shoes leading the field for the $300,000 Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill.

The 2011 Reisling Stakes, also known as the Resiling Slipper Trial, is one of the feature races on a top nine-event programme running for Coolmore Classic Day tomorrow.

Scheduled to run as Rosehill Race 3 at 1:30pm (AEDST), the Reisling Stakes field features just six fillies.

Odds-on favourite for the Resiling Stakes and second elect behind the sensational Sepoy in the 2011 Golden Slipper Field & Odds is the Clarry Conners-trained Satin Shoes.

Flying Spur filly Satin Shoes is undefeated in her three career starts to date, most recently taking out the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on February 26.

She has the breeding, training, class and form to deserve her short odds of $1.60 at Luxbet to win tomorrow and our tip is to stick with the favourite.

Rosehill Race 3 Tips – 2011 Reisling Stakes Betting

  • Races.com.au Favourite: #1 Satin Shoes – Bet now at Luxbet

Satin Shoes has twice beaten her closest Reisling Stakes rival Elite Falls ($3 Luxbet), so there’s little doubt she can’t do it again tomorrow.

Handles pressure well and against a small all-fillies field deserves respect. Will win and win well.

  • Exacta Tip: #1 Satin Shoes from #5 Elite Falls

John O’Shea’s More Than Ready filly Elite Falls is coming off two close seconds to Satin Shoes in the Widden Stakes and the Silver Slipper.

Tries their heart out but we’re afraid it’s another second to the flying favourite again here.

However, if desperate to back an upset Elite Falls is it as the 1200m might just give them the room they need to close in the Satin Shoes.

  • Trifecta Tip: #1 Satin Shoes from #5 Elite Falls and #3 Defiant Dame

Another More Than Ready filly with plenty of promise. The David Payne-trained Defiant Dame ($26 Luxbet) will add value to the winning Reisling Stakes trifecta tomorrow as a $26 roughie.

Has the all important inside draw with barrier one but was disappointing last start finishing a well beaten sixth to Shared Reflections in the Group 3 Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m).

  • First Four Tips / Box Trifecta: Add #6 Cape City Flyer ($14 Luxbet)

Gai Waterhouse-trained filly has had just one run for one win to date in an 1100m at Canterbury on February 23. Interesting little runner dropping back in the weights and having shown heart to win on debut from the far outside barrier.

At our preferred online bookmaker Luxbet, Satin Shoes is currently paying $7.50 to upset $2 favourite Sepoy and become the 2011 Golden Slipper Stakes winner.

Our best Golden Slipper betting tip is that if you fancy Satin Shoes to win, bet on her now at Luxbet before she wins again in the Reisling tomorrow and shortens further in her Golden Slipper price.

Check out the full Coolmore Classic Day betting odds now open at Luxbet including those for the Reisling Stakes and the two-year-old males’ Golden Slipper lead-up, the $300,000 Group 2 Todman Stakes (1200m) where Sepoy is sure to blow them away again.
