2011 Keith Nolan Classic Final Field & Barrier Draw – Kembla Grange

The Group 3 Keith Nolan Classic is set to headline Kembla Grange’s exciting day of racing this Sunday March 20, 2011, and the full final field has now been released.

The 1,600 metre Keith Nolan Classic is worth $150,000 and is open to three-year-old fillies only.

David Pfieffer’s Gai’s Choice is amongst the 19 horses that have accepted for the 16 horse final field in the 2011 Keith Nolan Classic.

Odd for Gai’s Choice and the rest of the 2011 Keith Nolan Classic final field will be available at Luxbet closer to Sunday’s race.

Gai’s Choice finished eighth last start in the Group 2 Surround Stakes and will be looking for her first Group win of her career in the 2011 Keith Nolan Classic.

The General Nediym filly has won four of her ten starts so far and has accrued close to $200,000 in prize money for her efforts.

Gai’s Choice has drawn barrier 12 for the 2011 Keith Nolan Classic and will be the only horse carrying 55 kilograms, with all others allocated 54 kilograms.

Also included in the Keith Nolan Classic final field is Rose Of Peace, who put in a gallant effort second-up this prep to finish third behind Parables and Red Tracer in the $200,000 Surround Stakes on March 5, 2011.

Rose Of Peace has won only one of her eight starts, but has finished well in all of her three Stakes level performances.

The Hussonet filly has drawn barrier four for Sunday’s race and will be ridden by jockey Michael Rodd.

Also included in the 2011 Keith Nolan Classic final field is Peter Snowden’s Raspberries, Alan Scorse’s Who’s Ready and Gai Waterhouse’s Ice Crème.
