Ofcourseican Wins The 2011 Listed Wenona Girl Handicap – Race 8 Results Warwick Farm

Ofcourseican wins the last at Warwick Farm

The final race on Warwick Farm’s Turnpoint Randwick Guineas Day has been won by Ofcourseican in the 2011 Listed Wenona Girl Handicap.

Ofcourseican won the $100,000 Listed Wenona Girl Handicap by a half neck ahead of Flying Success and Trim.

The 2011 Listed Wenona Girl Handicap was open to mares aged four-years-old and over and was a sprint race over 1,200 metres.

The race began when Zarock flew to the front of the field early and turned the home corner two lengths ahead of the rest.

It was very tight running up the straight until Ofcourseican pinged from in between them all to win the last race of the day.

Trim got knocked around in the middle of the field and did well to hang on for third.

Jerezana put in a disappointing performance after she loomed down the home straight only to fail in her run.

Peter Snowden’s Jerezana began as overwhelming $2.05 favourite for Race 8 at Warwick Farm at Luxbet.

Ofcourseican will now most likely be a regular starter in the rest of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.

The 2011 Listed Wenona Girl Handicap was won by Ofcourseican in a time of 1 minutes and 8.66 seconds.
