Yallambee Classic Field – 2011 Adelaide Cup Day

The 2011 Yallambee Classic will feature as Race 9 on the card during Adelaide Cup Day at Morphettville Racecourse.

The Group 2 event is for three-year-olds and worth $200,000 over 1200m.

Striking an imposing figure in the field listings is the Peter Snowden trained Obsequious.

The filly won the Light Fingers Stakes first up this year claiming more than $120,000 with that single run.

She added to that again last start with a second placing in the Typhoon Tracy Stakes at Moonee Valley.

The surprise winner of that race will also feature in the 2011 Yallambee Classic, the Peter Moody trained Miss Gai Flyer.

She’ll have to do it the hard way from out in barrier 12 but no doubt you’ll get nowhere near the big odds in this race that were on offer for her last start.

The boys aren’t without big name representation either with Stirling Grove to line up after a good win over this distance at Caulfield last start.

He’s been fairly lightly raced of late so should be fresh after only four starts in the last ten months, winning two of them and placing in the others.

It’s a real battle of the sexes in the 2011 Yallambee Classic with the girls featuring two of the best runners, but overall only four chances overall compared to nine colts and geldings.

Make sure you pick your favourites by logging on to your Luxbet account and accessing all the latest betting information.
