This Saturday March 12 Flemington is set to host one of the richest race meetings of the 2011 Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival and the nominations for all the day’s features have been released including those for the $125,000 Listed MSS Security Stakes (1100m).

The all black-type race line-up at Flemington this Saturday features two elite level showdowns with the $1 million Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m) and the $1 million Group 1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) headlining the meet.

Another event not to miss that punters will be keen to check the betting markets for at Luxbet is the MSS Security Stakes for three-year-olds, which has drawn 19 nominations.

Premier Victorian trainer Peter Moody has nominated four of his stable runners including top-rated entry Hinchinbrook.

Fastnet Rock colt Hinchinbrook resumed for the season with a gallant third behind Eagle Falls in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield on February 26.

Sure to have come on since then, if accepted Hinchinbrook will likely start one of the favourites in the MSS Security Stakes betting at Luxbet.

Moody also has Fastnet Rock filly Flokkati, Kulgrinda coming off a close second in a Listed feature at Morphettville and Testa Rossa filly Panipique entered for the race

Other notable entries for the 2011 MSS Security Stakes are:

• Bigelow (Clinton McDonald) – Al Maher gelding ran a good third behind Pressday in the Group 2 Sandown Guineas (1600m) in November before resuming with a first-up win over 955m at Moonee Valley on February 25

• Chasse (Peter Snowden) – Son of Octagonal returning to the track after a close second in the Sandown Guineas last start on November 13, step back in distance will suit first-up

• General Truce (Ricky Maund) – Consistent Victorian galloper ran eighth in the Oakleigh Plate but will appreciate the step back in class
