2011 Australian Guineas Betting Update & Market Movers

Today’s Group 1 Australian Guineas will see a final field of 16 horses battle it out for $750,000 in prize money and there have been a number of movers in the betting market.

The current favourite in betting for the 2011 Australian Guineas is #2 Playing God. After opening at $7.00, Playing God is now at $5.00 with online bookmaker Luxbet.

Second favourite is New Zealand filly We Can Say It Now who opened as the $6.00 favourite before drifting slightly to $7.00 before coming back into $5.50.

Bullbars

Bullbars is currently at $9.00 in the Australian Guineas betting market

#7 Bullbars and #11 Under The Eiffel are both sitting on a quote of $9.00. Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes winner Bullbars opened at $10 and firmed into $8.00 before settling at $9.00. Under The Eiffel has drifted in betting after starting out at $7.50.

#14 Shamrocker has firmed in from opening odds of $41 into $31 before moving back out to $34.

The biggest drifter so far has been #3 Startsmeup who opened at $19, but has since moved out to $41. #9 Spirited Eagle has also drifted in the betting markets, out from $15 to $21, #10 Smokin Joey opened at $31 and has moved to $41 and #4 Mr Chard is out to $31 after opening at $26. #1 Anacheeva has drifted by 1 point, out to $16. After opening at $26, #6 Hollowlea has moved out to $31.

#13 Enjin Number Nine is holding steady at $10.

Recent Group 3 The Mittys Vanity winner #16 Southern Speed is sitting at $9.50 after opening at $9.00 and moving into $8.50.
