Morphettville Group 3 Breeders Stakes Field 2011

Morphettville Group 3 Breeders Stakes Field 2011

The final field for the 2011 Breeders Stakes will consist of nine horses battling it out the $115,000 prize.

As expected Golden Archer will not be among the starters in Morphettville on Saturday instead choosing to compete at Flemington in the Listed Streets Ice Cream Stakes.

The highest rated runner in the Group 3 Breeders Stakes field is the Stuart Gower trained Anythingthatmoves.

The two-year-old gelding will start from barrier three in the race carrying 56.5kgs.

He is yet to finish lower than second from his three starts which have all been at Morphettville.

On the inside of him in barrier two will be the second highest rated runner in the 2011 Breeders Stakes field, the Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra trained Redangelo.

It will be the first time this colt travels out of Melbourne after winning once at Flemington from two starts and placing on debut at Caulfield.

Of the rest, New Zealand horse Rescue Mission showed plenty of promise last start when finishing fourth at Flemington and in fact beat Redangelo home during that run.

The Lee Freedman trained colt will start from gate seven with 56.5kgs.

We will publish a comprehensive form guide very soon to help you with your selections for the 2011 Breeders Stakes.
