Wednesday racing kicks off at South Australia’s Port Lincoln Racecourse this afternoon where an eight-event card is due to get underway at 1:08pm (AEDST) with the $10,000 Lindsay Park / Sabois Maiden Plate (1350m).

One early showdown not to miss is Race 3 the $13,000 Retravision Port Lincoln Rating 0 – 83 Handicap (1350m) at 2:18pm (AEDST) where the super consistent #2 Gallipoli Beach is hard to go past.

  • Sandown (VIC)Race 1 jumps at 1:35pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

One of today’s major metro meets will run at Betfair Park Sandown Hillside in Victoria, the action in Melbourne kicking off with the $30,000 Luxury Life Travel Handicap (2400m) at 1:35pm (AEDST) where our tip to win is the well-drawn #8 Famous Prince at juicy double figure odds.

All seven Sandown races this afternoon are exciting handicaps with great betting opportunities including Race 5 the $30,000 Betfair Handicap (1300m) at 4:00pm (AEDST) where we fancy #8 Conquering Journey to win for Peter Moody and Race 6 the $30,000 Le Pine Funerals Handicap (1400m) at 4:40pm (AEDST) where the lightly-raced #6 Santana for trainer Lee Freedman has the ability to cause an upset.

  • Randwick (NSW)Race 1 jumps at 1:50pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

Randwick’s Kensington track in Sydney also has a great seven-race programme running today starting at 1:50pm (AEDST) with the $27,000 Bondi Junction Handicap (1300m) where #5 Ice Creme on the rails for Gai Waterhouse is the pick of the field.

Again, an all-handicap race line-up at Randwick highlights including Race 5 the $27,000 Clovelly Handicap (1150m) at 4:20pm (AEDST) where #2 Danza King for David Panye should win and win well and Race 6 the $27,000 Tamarama Handicap (1550m) at 5:00pm (AEDST) where #2 Raspberries is our favourite to win while roughie #8 All Better is a top place bet.

  • Doomben (QLD)Race 1 jumps at 2:33pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

Today’s racing action continues in Queensland with Doomben hosting a quality six-race card starting with the $13,000 Www.Brc.Com.Au Fillies & Mares Class 3 Handicap (1200m) at 2:33pm (AEDST) where #4 Current Affair drawn on the rails and coming off back-to-back wins looks hard to beat.

The other highlight at Doomben today is Race 6 the $13,000 Landfill Logistics Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 3 Handicap (1200m) bringing things to a close at 5:48pm (AEDST) and we are tipping the in-form #11 Bustopher Jones.

The final Wednesday race meet this week will run at WA’s Ascot Racecourse where a cracker eight-event programme is due to get underway at 3:33pm (AEDST) with the $19,000 Westspeed 2YO Plate (1200m) where we fancy #2 Cat Five to win at a great price.
