Listed TAB 50th Birthday Stakes Field 2011

The final field for the 2011 Listed TAB 50th Birthday Stakes shows that a very high standard of talent has been assembled for the final race on Australian Guineas Day at Flemington.

Unfortunately the Listed TAB 50th Birthday Stakes field won’t feature the long awaited return of Roman Emperor but there are plenty of others that will no doubt draw a crowd.

Danzylum is the top weight in the Listed TAB 50th Birthday Stakes field

Danzylum will jump as the top weight from barrier four carrying 58.5kgs.

The seven-year-old has won two of the last three including an agonisingly close fourth place in the CF Orr Stakes last start.

Buccellati has an impressive race list running in the Caulfield Cup and the Melbourne Cup last year.

The results weren’t quite as impressive though being blown off the course in both races.

This race is of course nowhere near as talented and with 57kgs and barrier one the British stayer will be looking for a good first up performance.

The other two big names in the 2011 TAB 50th Birthday Stakes field are arguably Orbit Express and Playwright which will both carry 56.5kgs and start from gates seven and eight respectively.

They can’t be split on weight, ratings and barely even barriers so could be a good quinella chance.

Full odds and form guides for the 2011 TAB 50th Birthday Stakes will be posted on this site later in the week.
