2011 Listed Hoysted Handicap – Australian Guineas Day Nominations

Nominations have been released for the 2011 Listed Bob Hoysted Handicap that will take place as part of Flemington’s Australian Guineas Day this Saturday March 5, 2011.

The Listed Bob Hoysted Handicap will be run over 1,000 metres and is worth $125,000 in prize money.

12 horses are currently nominated for the 2011 Listed Bob Hoysted Handicap, with all being guaranteed a start.

Elusive Touch

Elusive Touch will be first up this season in the Listed Hoysted Handicap at Flemington

Mark Kavanagh is represented by the Elusive Quality gelding Elusive Touch.

Elusive Touch will be first-up in the 2011 Listed Bob Hoysted Handicap after a stellar last preparation that saw him win the Group 3 Aurie’s Star Handicap on August 7, 2011.

The five-year-old gelding has only failed to place twice in his eleven starts so far and has accrued $234,550 in prize money.

Also nominated is Peter Moody’s Master Harry, who won the Group 2 Royal Sovereign last start at Randwick Racecourse on February 12, 2011

The three-year-old colt has won two of his four starts and will be hoping for a good lead-up race to the 2011 Newmarket Handicap on March 12, 2011, for which he is also nominated.

Colin Little’s Palatine will be back from a long spell, after finishing a disappointing eighth in the Betfair Handicap last start on August 11, 2010.

Palatine has won two of his 11 starts, but has only fallen out of the placings twice in his career.

The five-year-old Shinko King gelding is also nominated for the 2011 Newmarket Handicap.

Also nominated for the is Bruce Hill’s Leapfrog, Mark Young’s Secret Flyer, David Payne’s Winter King and Darren Weir’s Broken.
