2011 The Yalumba 162 – Form & Betting

The 2011 The Yalumba 162 is less than 24 hours away and the Races.com.au team have put together the latest form information to help you make informed decisions when betting on tomorrow’s Blue Diamond Stakes Day.

The Yalumba 162, previously known as the Autumn Classic, features an 11 horse field, all vying for a share of Group 2 glory and the $180,000 prize money on offer.

The 1800m The Yalumba 162 field includes the current Luxbet favourite, Kim Divine.

Kim Divine, who is currently paying $3.30 for the win, has won two of his previous seven races and has only failed to place twice in his career.

The God’s Own gelding is jumping up in class for the 2011 The Yalumba 162, and has never actually won a race over this distance, but won his last start at Canterbury  over 1,900 metres by an overwhelming three and a half lengths.

Kim Divine is suited to a good rate track, claiming both his wins in these conditions.

Second favourite, Almindoro, is currently paying $4.40 for the win at Luxbet.

Almindoro has only won one of his seven previous starts and has placed second at his only attempt at this distance.

The Redoute’s Choice gelding is fresh off a win in a Maiden at Moonee Valley, but the jump in class will be very steep.

Almindoro has placed second in a Group 3 race in October, 2010, over 2,000 metres, so does have the talent needed to finish up with the leaders.

Michael Kent’s Domesky is currently third favourite at Luxbet, paying odds of $7.

Domesky will be hoping for a dead track, as he has never failed to place in these conditions.

The Domesday gelding also won his first race last start in a 1,600 metre Maiden at Mornington.

Also in the market is Elusive Quality gelding Elusive King.

Elusive King, who is paying $8 for the win at Luxbet, has won one of four starts, and has only finished worse than second once.

Elusive King has never before contested the 1,800 metre distance, winning his only race over 1,412 metres.

If you would like to make the most of this Diamond Stakes Day, open an account with Luxbet today and have a go at really cleaning up on the betting.
