2011 Mannerism Stakes Field & Form

Blue Diamond Stakes Day will be brought to a close with the running of the 2011 Mannerism Stakes this Saturday February 26, 2011.

The Group 3 Mannerism Stakes will be run over 1,400 metres and is worth $125,000.

Open to mares ages four-years-old and upwards, the 2011 Mannerism Stakes will take place as Race 9 at Caulfield Racecourse tomorrow.

Current favourite at Luxbet is Darren Weir’s Culminate, currently paying odds of $3.20 for the win.

Culminate has won 12 of her 40 career starts and will be first-up for the 2011 Mannerism Stakes.

The Group winning mare has won 50% of her races at this distance and has won her only race at this distance on this track.

Culminate has only failed to place once when she has been first-up in the past.

Currently second favourite for the 2011 Mannerism Stakes is the Testa Rossa mare Red Flair, paying $6 for the win at Luxbet.

Red Flair will be second-up for the 2011 Mannerism Stakes and does not have a very convincing second-up record, having never won a race at this point in her prep.

Red Flair is best suited to a good rated track and has won 50% of her races at Caulfield over this distance.

Also in the market is Counterpane, paying $7.50 at Luxbet.

The Lonhro four-year-old has won just two of her 16 previous starts, however, has only failed to place once this preparation.

Counterpane is suited to almost any track, finishing well in good, dead, slow and heavy track conditions.

Peter Snowden’s Counterpane has only managed to win once out of nine attempts at this distance.
