Mille Fox Stakes Form Guide 2011

The 2011 Millie Fox Stakes adds yet another dimension to Silver Slipper Day at Rosehill Gardens.

The Group 3 event for fillies and mares is worth $125,000 over a 1300m course.

A complete form guide is below so make sure you get an account up and running with Luxbet now to be part of the action.

2011 Millie Fox Stakes Form Guide

#1        Sacred Choice (Barrier – 13)  (60.5kgs)

Trainer – Joseph Pride             Jockey – n/a

Career Stats – 26s       8w       8p

Last Start – 6th at Randwick

This five year old mare probably has had the most impressive career to date but is up against it in this race. Carrying a monster weight from a wide barrier a win her would be one of the most impressive in an already stella career.

#2        Palacio De Cristal (Barrier – 16)   (58kgs)

Trainer – Grahame Begg          Jockey – n/a

Career Stats – 24s       5w       3p

Last Start – 9th at Flemington

This is a horse of undoubted quality but like Sacred Choice will need a huge performance to win the Mille Fox. She’s carrying a little less at 58kgs but will jump from the widest gate. Very little choice but to drop to the back and try to find a run forward.

#3        Graceful Anna (Barrier – 9)     (55.5kgs)

Trainer – David Pfieffer                      Jockey – Brad Pengelly

Career Stats –  13s       6w       4p

Last Start – 2nd at Randwick

Second in the Breeders classic last start at Randwick and a veyr impressive overall win / place rate. With a much easier weight and better barrier than the first two horses Graceful Anna is probably the new favourite.

#4        Strawberry Field (Barrier – 7)     (54.5kgs)

Trainer – Gerald Ryan             Jockey – Hugh Bowman

Career Stats – 20s       3w       5p

Last Start – 7th at Randwick

This horse has promised a lot but never really delivered for Gerald Ryan. She likes to drop back and come home late but against this field you get the feeling she may be pushed a little further forward than usual.

#5        Hidden Wonder (Barrier – 5)     (54kgs)

Trainer – Kris Lees                  Jockey – n/a

Career Stats – 47s       9w       14p

Last Start – 3rd at Flemington

This veteran horse has actually been in not too bad form of late, regularly in or near the placings. From barrier five there will be plenty of opportunity and certainly isn’t without a hope.

#6        Dances on Waves (Barrier – 3)     (53.5kgs)

Trainer – Gerald Ryan             Jockey – n/a

Career Stats – 10s       5w       1p

Last Start – Won at Randwick

With three wins in a row and a plum barrier Dances On Waves has to a real threat in this one. While she lacks the Group experience of some of the others she’ll be at the front early and could have the quality to run it out.

Bet now at Luxbet

#7        Lovemelikearock (Barrier – 14)   (53.5kgs)

Trainer – Anthony Cummings             Jockey – n/a

Career Stats – 11s        3w       2p

Last Start – 4th at Caulfield

There horse will no doubt be presented well by Anthony Cummings but with scratchy form at best and a wide gate it’s hard to see her causing too much damage against this field.

Bet now at Luxbet

#8        Marquardt (NZ) (Barrier – 15)   (53.5kgs)

Trainer – John Thompson        Jockey – Jim Byrne

Career Stats  –             14s       3w       4p

Last Start – 4th at Randwick

Fourth in the Breeders Classic and seventh in the Myer Classic last year this horse does have the experience but has nothing to show for it. The wide gate only makes it harder to try and justify a win for this horse.

Bet now at Luxbet

#9        Montana Flyer (Barrier – 6)     (53.5kgs)

Trainer – Gai Waterhouse                    Jockey – Tommy Berry(a)

Career Stats – 24s        3w       7p

Last Start – 5th at Randwick

The last few preparations haven’t been kind to this horse at all. The middle barrier should let her get to the front which will help her cause but we’ll need to see a big form reversal. The Waterhouse stable has improved this season and Montana Flyer will need to do the same.

Bet now at Luxbet

#10      Jersey Lily (Barrier – 4)     (53kgs)

Trainer – Les Bridge                Jockey – Tim Clark

Career Stats –  18s       3w       9p

Last Start – 8th at Randwick

Very poor first up last start but actually quite consistent in the last couple of preparations. She loves to place and from barrier four she’ll have every opportunity to make that happen again.

Bet now at Luxbet

#11      Purrpurrlena (Barrier – 2)     (53kgs)

Trainer – Grahame Begg                      Jockey – n/a

Career Stats –  23s       4w       8p

Last Start – 5th at Randwick

Placed in her five races before last start including a win before being spelled. Has only won once form seven on this track and once from five at this distance. Barrier two is effectively barrier 1 unless an emergency comes in so the race is hers to lose.

Bet now at Luxbet

#12      Little Surfer Girl (Barrier – 11)   (53kgs)

Trainer – Chris Waller              Jockey – Glyn Schofield

Career Stats – 17s        4w       3p

Last Start – 12th at Flemington

Her stats aren’t overly pretty and last start was horrible, but there’s a bit in there to make a case. Three times she’s raced the track for two wins and twice at the distance for a win and a close second. Will be tough from barrier 11 but could be an each way at long odds.

Emergencies:

#13      Brasileira (Barrier – 4)     (53kgs)

#14      Shadow Minister (Barrier – 12)   (53kgs)

#15      Ofcourseican (Barrier – 1)     (53kgs)

#16      Warpath (Barrier – 8)             (53kgs)
